VP of Webmaster
Akshat Jain is a Software Engineer with experience at Walmart Global Tech and Lucid Motors, specializing in backend development. He builds scalable, cloud-native microservices and event-driven systems that power high-performance applications. His work focuses on designing reliable APIs, optimizing system performance, and delivering resilient distributed solutions. Akshat holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science from California State University, Los Angeles, and is passionate about building impactful, large-scale systems.
Varun Tiwari
VP of Membership
Varun Tiwari is a Software Engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area specializing in backend systems, data-driven platforms, and scalable cloud solutions. He builds high-performance microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka. With a Master’s from California State University, Los Angeles, he focuses on data governance and reliability. As VP of Membership, he promotes community engagement, networking, and professional growth within DAMA SF.

Senior Product Manager at Salesforce specializing in data platforms, analytics, and AI-enabled products, with a track record of turning complex data ecosystems into measurable business value. Beyond my work at Salesforce, I serve on the Advisory Board for Applied Data Science at San José State University, where I contribute to shaping the program's direction, conduct industry events, and deliver guest lectures to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world data practice. I hold an M.S. in Applied Data Science (AI) from San José State University and am passionate about bridging data engineering, governance, and executive strategy to create trusted, AI-ready data products.
